Afternoon Munching

For my workout today, I walked 3 miles and did 35 minutes on the elliptical.

Since I have been hungry all day, I made a plate of afternoon munchies before walking!

Carrots, Celery, and Broccoli.

Dipped into 2 tbs of Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

109 calories, 5 grams of protein, and 5 grams of fiber.

    (continueing from my question yesterday) do you take pictures at school to? Sorry to dwell, i just CANNOT even imagine eating like you do at your age….when i was in highschool i ate a steady diet of doritos and fast food. It wasn’t untill i graduated and decided on dietetics as my major that I reformed my eating habits. Im curious though, do you get a lot of crap at school for eating so healthy? I am naturally a very thin person and if i opted for the healthy options i constantly got harrassed with anorexia accusations, i still have this problem a bit but it was MUCH worse in school. I hate to say it but peer pressure in my high school very much had me eating unhealthy, good for you for not falling into that!

    Jessie- I prepack my lunch so I take a snapshop and then pack it up in my lunch box. By now, my friends are understanding and actually interested inwhat I eat. Every now and then I do get a ‘thats weird’ but other than that they are supportive 99.9% of the time.

    I do give into peer pressure sometimes… like at my friend Mary’s house, I had way too many pita chips and hummus. I’m still a teenage girl who likes to eat with friends, I just choose healthier, vegan options!

    VeggieGirl- I know, it was sooo pretty out today! I was planning on only walking 2.25 but I didn’t want to go inside! I’m looking forward to your birthday post 😉
