Tupperware Tuesday

Well, I am officially back in school which means tupperware for breakfast and lunch!  This morning, I have banana-flax oatmeal.  I love banana oatmeal, it never gets old!  I also had my cup of coffee with silk creamer.

261 calories, 8 grams of protein, and 8 grams of fiber.

One more quarter of school and then I am done!

    Same here VeggieGirl!

How do you make your banana oatmeal? I recently have started experimenting with banana in my oatmeal, so I am curious as to how you prepare yours.

  3. This looks full of energy to survive one day at school!

Caroline- Heres a quick run down on how I prep my oats!

    In a pot, add
    – 1/2 cup oats
    – 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk/ soy milk
    – 1/2 cup water
    – 50-75 grams of sliced bananas (small banana)

Turn on heat to medium-high and let it cook up until the sides look a bit cooked- Make sure you stir really well at this point!

After stirring for thirty or so seconds, i turn down the heat and add 1 tbs of flax and sometimes a packet of stevia. Today I added some cinnamon

Keep cooking and stiring until desired creamy/thickness!

I hope your not heating up your oatmeal in the plastic container in the microwave. Very unsafe. http://organicfanatic.blogspot.com/2008/01/unsafe-plastics.html

Bev- The bottom of mine says ‘Microwave Oven’ on it so I just assumed it was safe, is that still bad to reheat in?
