The Sweetest Coffee

When I visited Kath’s house for her cookout, I left with a ziplock baggie of Fresh Market Spring Blend Coffee.  The aroma of this coffee is so sweet and inviting!  It’s probably the best coffee i’ve ever had (although I haven’t had too many types of coffee) and I’ll be stopping by Fresh Market for a bag!  It definitely made breakfast a fantastic event!

Oats with Banana, Strawberries, flax, and Plain Light Silk.

With the Fantastic coffee, breakfast turns out to be 315 calories, 11 grams of protein, and 9 grams of fiber.

Very Berry Makeover

Happy Friday!  I have a fun weekend coming up and I just can’t wait to get it started!  Seven hours of school and then I’m free :P

I decided to do something fun with breakfast this morning so I created a before and after post!

Before cooking on the stove.

After!  Oats with almond milk, flax seed, blueberries, and strawberries!

This makeover came in at 251 calories, 8 grams of protein, and 10 grams of fiber!

The Perfect Day

Today has been so perfect!  The sun is shining, the food is great, and the smiles keep pouring in! 

For today’s workout, I Ran to and from the gym for a little over 4 miles.  The two runs equaled a total of 39:22- not bad for the hills involved!  In between the runs, I did 15 minutes of strength machines and free weights (I count actual lifting and not rest periods) as well as 6 minutes of abs.  Today’s workout was tough… so tough that I am going to make it an every other day occurence.  It was great to challenge myself!

After working out, I was not only hot but I was starving!  So, I whipped up what any hot, starving vegan would… a smoothie!

Strawberries, banana, Light Plain Silk, 1 tbs milled flax seeds, 1 packet stevia, and a handful of spinach.

161 calories, 6 grams of protein, and 8 grams of fiber!

Strawberries, Mangos, and Oats… Oh my!

I am in such a good mood this morning!

For breakfast, I went back to my trusty oats and coffee!  Oatmeal keeps me satisfied for such a long period of time, I am starting to think they are magical ;)

Oats, Flax Seed, Almond Milk, Fresh Strawberries, and Fresh Mango!

Mmmm, this fresh take on my morning oats comes in at 275 calories, 8 grams of protein, and 9 grams of fiber.
